Stumbled upon a Browning A-Bolt in .22 Magnum.
The guy was pretty cool by holding onto it while our shifts worked through availability where I was finally able to pick it up today.
Made the drive out (90 min.) one way and low and behold there she was in all her glory.
It came with a Bushnelle scope (cheap as in inexpensive) rings and three boxes of various ammo.
It even came with a spare .22Mag magazine ( I almost typed clip )
No idea how it will shoot, but it is sure going to be fun when I get a day off and able to get out to the gravel pit and see how she runs.
The only thing I am not happy with right now is the triggers is like trying to pull a tank with your pinkie finger and the fact ammo is $20.00 a box right now for Winchester something or other.
Just had to gloat and will try and get some pics up in the following days.

Being a Browning fan, especially the A-Bolts, congratulations! Be nice to get a range report when you have a chance to touch it off. It will be accurate! Believe it or not, ALL my Brownings with iron sights bullseyed out of the box. Not sure how they do it, but I have a witness for every one.

cheers,

Good Evening Kamlooky, decided you had enough teasing about my New To me A-bolt in .22 Mag that I decided to go and shoot it today.
Drove out to my favorite gravel pit and on the way in stumbled upon these three in the road.
2 Fawns and a Doe.. they must be a few days old cause they where pretty quick on their hooves and stuck close to Mom.

The shooting began with my selection from WSS in Langley and chose Winchester Dyna Points.
These are some of the results in no particular order suffice to say I paced off 25 steps as equal as the flip flops would allow over the uneven ground.
Over all I was pretty happy with said results in the 20Kmh winds I was shooting into for the most part and there where no rocks safe from this .22 Mag after I got it dialed in.

I stretched it out to 50 paces in those super comfy flip flops and ended up with these results.

Not bad for an afternoon of making some noise and my day was a whole lot better than the guy who clipped the No3 Rd over pass on Hwy 1 West bound this afternoon too.

This only bad part was I bought this bore brush and first time using it when it came apart in the barrel about two inches from the chamber and I was able to push it back through.
This was on the reverse stroke too .

Well looky, the full size shooter is just a tad smaller than full size and larger than the micro medalians Browning makes ;)
Flip flops leave interesting tan lines for the g/f to talk about later on ;)
