Congratulations on acquiring what appears to be a very, very nice example. I agree with the person who indicated a probable price range for it. Without actually handling the gun it's hard to be more definitive, but it looks really nice in the photos. They're big and ungainly, hardly what you'd call "ergonomic", but I've owned three of them at one time or another over many years, and always found them fun to shoot. The ranges stamped on the sight are overly optimistic, but they're still fun to shoot. The cartridge is powerfully penetrative at close ranges, and in the 1920s they were used to test "bulletproof" vests. They are a remarkable piece of history. Churchill wrote that as a young officer he used one to get out of a bad situation in Africa. They're hell for stout, but you should inspect it very carefully before shooting it, if for no other reason than it would be poor to have to replace a numbered part that got broken. You can find out the manufacture date on-line, and if you wish, eventually you could get an appropriate holster stock for it. That's what I did with mine, a year or so after buying it. It looks like you got a really good one. Enjoy it.
