I just got my hands on a 1930 Tikka m27, I have to say Im impressed, It is correct configuration, Numbers match, bore is quite good and not counterbored, and there still grease packed in everywhere, For sure an up grade on the Mosin platform, especially the two stage trigger, now I have to see how she shoots, Here is a pic

I was after a m39 as I had never had one, but ended up getting this on once it came availble. These are quite sililar to the m39, same size and actually more rare, and it has some of its own unique features such as a winged bolt, I always keep my eyes open for Finn Mosins at a good price, as my collection isnt much yet

Very nice rifle! I have a M39, M27, M28/30 or M28 on my list for my next purchase. I would also happily pick up a good M91 if it has nice wood. Nice wood as in nice Pine Tar finish and well used.

I am missing a Finnish Mosin.
What I do have is a 1937 Izzy, 1943 Tula Ex sniper, and a 1943 Izzy original Pu sniper.
So I have the Russian 1891/30 models covered well enough.
But sadly missing a nice Finn.
Having my brothers 1940 M91 Tikka here and using it as if it's my own is only making me yearn for a nice Finn Mosin like yours.
Treasure it and look after it. You area very fortunate to have such a nice Mosin.

Please post some targets and give us a detailed comparison please.

M27 's are the heaviest as well with thickest barrel out of all Finn models.....Good Find

Nice looking rifle. Does it have the wings added to the transfer bar and the milled slots in the back of the receiver to accept the wing projections? Does the rear sight have a vertical steel sight notch plate screwed to it?
