Hi guys just bought my first two guns from Trade Ex Canada, BTW it was a really good experience . I placed my order Friday night got a quote back Monday. Paid for it and had them here by Wednesday. Really fast and when I actually got them out of the box I was really impressed by the guns. The description included a small crack at the tang I spent 3-4 minutes looking for it. :D. The rest of the description was dead on accurate and after problems I've had with orders coming and the wrong stuff in the past from other mail orders companies I was worried about what would show up. Goos service and fast.

I think please correct me if I am wrong this is Swedish Mauser 96 in a sporter stock if I am wrong let me know.

I know it's a lost cause but I thought I would ask Does anyone know if it is possible to purchase a mag for this I wouldn't mind having a few kicking around target practice. But if nothing else I really like the way this one feels.

Check some of your local small gunshops for the mag. Also google and check Western Gunparts. They are a mail order operation out of Edmonton.

Really though, your best bet is to just call Tradex back. They are great at tracking down stuff for you if they can. Very obliging guys - tops to deal with.

As a last resort, curved mags are often kind of generic. There is a possibility that a Savage/Weatherby/CZ type mag could fit or could be modded to fit.

I don't know how that .22 was kept before but I have yet to find a flaw on either side of it no rusting nothing. I was original going to buy a new one just because the difference price wise was so close and all the new .22Lr come with iron sights unless they are target guns. I'm glad I went with this .22Lr.

I spent some time handling the synthetic stock models at local shops and couldn't get into them the wood felt better. Not to mention the difference in price between the soe of the .30-06 I was looking at and the one I finally bought.

I'll have to see though how they do at the range hopefully I can get down there some Wednesday. I keep making plans then I have something comes up.

Last spring I bought a ZG-47 from them. The rifle was pretty much as advertised and after a bit of tweaking looks like this . . .

I've been looking for one of these for quite some time, now I have one. A NECG peep sight is on the way, and I'm looking for a set of Brno/CZ compatible 26 mm rings for my 6X Kahles. The lines are so nice, I'm tempted not to scope it though.

CompBoy...

that clip looks similar to my Lakefield MK ll.....maybe give one a try.
I like that 22 you got there, looks real clean!
I got a Husky 9.3 x 62 from Tradex....no complaints here!

Boomer....Sweet looking rifle-nice work....

No I really am glad I went to trade ex. The .22 is way better then I was expecting and for the price of the .30-06 I can't complain. I'm glad I picked the winter handle I was kinda wondering if I needed it but after handling several of the new production rifles I was thinking a glove might be an issue. I really like the difference between what I have seen in the store and what I bought. The guns in the stores have gaps between the plastic and metal and feel cheap in your hands. Granted I was looking at the bottom end stuff but it still felt like the companies aren't putting much effort into their rifles.
