New (to me) HMR

Just got back from P&D with a Savage 93 R17 in .17 HMR. It's used, but in pristine condition. Great service, as usual, and no problems with the registry - last time I registered a new gun in store, the transfer was held up for a week.

It's got a heavier profile barrel and the accutrigger, and the trigger, without messing around with it yet, feels awesome. It's just too bad I can't afford to scope it until next weekend - I'm heading out to the cabin tomorrow, and I really want to see how it shoots.

Yeah, but what do you do when the wife finally starts to complain you're buying too many guns?

I could always just not tell her whenever I buy myself a new toy and hope she won't notice but it's kind of hard to hide those packages that keep coming to the door.
