This is my newest addition, a 1943 Izhevsk PU Sniper Mosin Nagant. Its not one of the more recently common "repros" as it has the characteristic Izhevsk sniper serial number on the side of the receiver and is Molot marked under the handguard. The scope *seems* to be original to the rifle as the indicative serial number (side of barrel shank) matches and is the only serial there, no crossed or lined out previous ones. Receiver, bolt, and buttplate all match, and the bore looks fantastic.

Pics (sorry for no embedded pics, they came out way to large):

MFS FMJ seems to group the most consistent, but not drastically different than the surplus ammo I shoot. From best to worst: bulgarian silver tip, 60's chinese surplus, norinco 2011 production. The copper washed Norinco stuff doesn't cycle as well for some reason. It's far from a precision rifle, but it's damn impressive for 70yrs old
