I got out to the range this morning to try my new (to me) shotgun.
Purchased here on the EE (Thanks LloydM!)
Norinco HP-9, 14" barrel, Scattergun Technologies/Trijicon ghost-ring sights, Fabarm muzzle brake, mag extension. It came with a Mesa Tactical 6-shot sidesaddle, but it's not mounted right now.
I put 15 Winchester 1 oz. slugs and 25 Winchester Steel (#4 shot) shells through it. Everything worked well. At 25 yds, the steel shot loads opened up to over 30" pattern. Slugs were giving 3-round groups of 1.5" - 2" at 50 yds.
Typical me, forgot to take the tool box with me, but a guy at the range (RCMP off-duty) loaned me the allen wrench to adjust the sights. It's sighted in at the top of the front sight @ 50 yds.
I was surprised at how much recoil was reduced with the muzzle brake. I did have to double up on ear protection because it was pretty loud shooting on the covered shooting line.
All in all, a good day. Put a couple hundred rounds through the SR22 and 30 through the Norinco M-14 as well.
