The 43 in the 7.62x43 designates that it is model M43 ammunition or 7.62x39.I'm pretty sure your are correct, Sir!
Don't worry, you have the right ammo. I asked Epps the same thing. They get that question a lot too.
Actually, the spring-loaded firing pin is safer if you shoot ammo with soft primers.
But your rifle probably has a nice new chrome lined refurb barrel anyways. That will come in handy with that corrosive Czech M43.
