By chance, I picked up an M95. I was buying a batch of Lee Enfields and the fellow pretty much threw this one in. It is in 8 x 56R, Steyr mfg, matching #s and as pristine as one can get. Cosmoline in the works and the bore looks like new. I had no idea they came in such nice shape. I don't think it has been fired since its rebuild. Jeeze this thing is long.
And yes, I am going to shoot it..I had to google it as I know nothing about these things. It might be a keeper.

Tradeex sells brass and bullets very easy to reload for it. U have to use the clip to load it, if you load it without the clip aka slam the action shut while a round is in the chamber you will brake the extractor, limb saver is advised when shooting milsurp ammo;))

I lost my right shoulder shooting the M95 Carbine....I still have a bad twitch as I am writing this.....great rifle and thx to TRADEX lots of rounds still to shoot.....reloading is the way to go....

I'm going to get the ammo from tradex and if I like the rifle I will get the dies and reload for it. Should be interesting.

I've only shot cast reloads from my carbine. I lucked out as my bore slugged at 329. From what I've read many are a few thou larger. Brass is from TRADEX and Lee dies. Jacketed bullets (329)are also available but they aren't cheap. My mid range cast loads are accurate, easy on the shoulder and ears and shoot to the point of aim at 50 yds.
I plan on acquiring a rifle as well when the right one comes along.

The oddball bullet size makes this one a difficult one to reload for.

Trade-ex has ammo and components. As mentioned, the rifle is designed to use an en-bloc clip to hold and properly feed the ammo from the magazine into the chamber.

LEE makes a bullet mould for this rifle in the proper diameter for the bore.

That's good;) worst case I would of had to send you one for free..;) try to get your hands on some milsurp ammo too, there are a few makes out there. One kind comes with the nazi eagle and swastika dated 1938. Also there is a lot that has the Austrian lion and dated 1940. When u shooting those rounds they are hard on the shoulders;) and people leave from beside you at the range...;)
I shot a few hundred surplus rounds without one misfire.

I go to a monthly gun show here in Vancouver and I will have to see if there is any surplus out there. It's not something I have ever noticed. I have little feeling in my shoulder anyway :)
