Finally got a chance to wring out my "new to me" toy this week. I got it from a fellow gunnut on here.
It is a Shilen DGA action, with a 28" Benchmark heavy, 1-8" twist barrel, chambered in 6mmBR Norma.
Stock is Robertson BR, Jewell trigger at 4 oz. Scope is a Leupold 40X w/target dot.
I am shooting the 105 Lapua Scenar, in Lapua cases, chased by 3x.x grains of Varget, fired by a BR-4 primer.
The bullet is seated to a .005 engagement with the rifling. [slightly jammed]
Consecutive 5 - shot groups at 100 yesterday went .287", .233", .290", .221"
At 200 three groups were .499" .550" and a zinger at .330" Fourth group I pulled one high which made the 4th group .870"
Thinking I better leave well enough alone. I am going to stretch it out a bit to see what it is like at 600+

She will be a shooter indeed. My first time out with my 30" Jury barrelled savage this week at 900m netted a 150 12x in 4min wind. 105 berger vlds with a 10 jam, CCI450s lighting up varget. Hard to decide on which load when all shoot under 0.5moa so picked the best clusters. And in 70 rounds of load development...done. Best performance at 300m was a 0.47" test grouping. Simply just got to love the BR. Enjoy keeping them in the v's Dave. Need some pics to appreciate your build me thinks....
Elky....
