Please bear with me if this has been discussed before. I have searched but have not had any luck.

I am new to Shotguns
I bought a Winchester Defender 1300from EE a few months ago, mostly for a camp gun, and some fun at the range.

It has an 18" barell that is the same length as the tubular magazine underneath. I have both the pistol grip and the wood stock for it.

On the barell it just ays Winchester Model 1300 Defender 12GA 2 3/4 & 3"

There are no markings as to choke or anything like that. There is also no threading at the end of the barell to add any screw on chokes. I know some of the newer models come with the winchoke system that allows you to switch chokes easily.

What i am wondering is if there are any barells for this shotgun that would make it possible for me to use it to shoot ducks and geese etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for your time

Rhys

Just make sure if you post a WTB, that you state it is for a Defender as there is a difference between a standard 1300 and a 1300 Defender. The barrels will not interchange....the defender barrel has the barrel attatchment lug further forward than the standard 1300....

Unless they're 2 different defender barrels, the barrel on the 1200 and 1300 (including the defender) are interchangeable. I swap my 3 barrels between my defender1300 and my ranger1200 all the time.

Which scope mount can you use on the Mod 1300? I have a Tasco Mod.787SGMC but it looks like I will need the receiver drilled and tapped, is this standard or is there a mount that will fit without the smithing?
