Hello, I am about to purchase a reloading kit and I have never handloaded before. I will be reloading for a 300.win mag the gun is a tikka t3 lite. I will be doing mostly moose and deer hunting with it as well as target. does anyone have suggestion for what components to use, such as bullets, powder, primers, brass. etc. anyone willing to share they're knowledge would be of great help to me. thank you.

I'm a novice reloader, shooting .308 at targets: I use Amax 155's over Varget, Lapua brass, CCI BR-2 primers. If Lapua is too pricey for you, use Winchester brass.
Not into hunting yet, so I can't help you there, except that you'll want a hunting bullet for that. Best advice is: get and read some good books, like the ABC's of Reloading, and read every post here in the Reloading forum! :D
And ask questions, of course... Maybe someone in your area can show you the ropes.

My also 300WM T3. Brass WC,Bullet 180grNP,Primer CCI 250 ,Powder RL 22Case trim lenght 2.620, OCL 3.340,Powder charge 72.5gr.Shot under 0.5 MOA.
Moose,Bear,Deer did not have a chance to run more than 10feet.

Bullets

A magnum has a higher impact velocity,so you have to step up to premium bullet. For hunting moose ,Nosler Partions 200grs ,they really thump. ,but Barnes TSX, Nosler Accubonds,Hornady Interbonds, which I use, or Swift A-Frames will all work great. For deer,a 165 load that shoots well. For target work/practice I started using simple Hornadys 165 BTSP,now I use 168 A-Maxs.They just shoot so well.
