As The Title Says Im New To Shotguns. I Recevied Last Week My First Shotgun, A Grizzly Arms 12.5. Its Suppose To Be An 870 Clone So I Decided To Go To Bass Pro And Pick Up A B-Square Shotgun Scope Mount For It Some No Name That Says Its Made To Fit An 870, Brought It Home And Guess What Doesn't Fit! The Holes Don't Line Up. So I Returned It And Bought One Thats Made From Remington, And Tried That As Well And The Holes Still Dont Line Up. Am I The Only One Having A Problem Doing This To A Grizzly Arms 12.5? Also From Doing This The Bracket Scratched Up The Side And Top Of My Receiver, Even Though I Tried Really Hard To Prevent That From Happening, Does Anyone Know What Kind Of Finish Is On The Gun, Also Can I Fix The Scratches Or Do I Need The Whole Gun Done, Its Not Really A Big Deal But Just Wondering. Its Not Like It Had The Greatest Finishing When I Got It.

Didnt Think About Getting Pictures Of The Mount Not Lining Up, Didnt Think About It Tell I Returned Both Of Them.

Anyways Here's The Pic Of It So Far, Still Waiting For The Front Pistol Grip

I can't help you with your question, but just an FYI it's not legal to replace the stock with the pistol grip, it's too short to remain non restricted (under 26" OAL). IIRC it becomes prohibited. Keeping it like that would be asking for trouble....

Just So You Guys Know, I Dont Have The Real Pistol Grip On It, I Have The Stock On It, The Rear Pistol Grip Came With It, I Just Took Pics With Both On It The First Day I Got It. Even Though I Know Theres Lot Of Opinions On Rather It Makes It Restricted Or Not. I Keep The Stock On Just To Be Safe. And I Dont Have Pics Of The Mount I Returned Them The Same Day Without Thinking Of Taking Pictures. The Rear Hole By the Trigger Fits No Problem, Its Front The Hole By The Slide Release Thats Having The Problem. It Doesnt Align All The Way For The Screw To Go Through, And Now My Reciever Is All Scratched Up From It

im pretty sure Canada Ammo told me that a ruger rail fits the holes that are drilled on the reciever. Id wait until after the holiday and give them a call. That way you wont have to try and figure out which fits the shotgun.

Im fairly certain that it was drilled and tapped to accept a ruger rail.

the finish is super cheap on the grizzly shotguns. probably krylon paint is the cheapest way to cover it up.

Thanks Wildfoot Those Were The Answers I Were Looking For I Acutally Have An Extra Ruger 10/22 Rail, So I Will Try It Out And See, If It Fits Ill Have To Pick Up Another Rail Cause I Need It In Black, Also About Painting It, HAs Anyone Done That? Also How Well Does It look After? If Anyone Has Pics Let Me Know, Just Worried About Doing That Will It Affect Seeing The Serial Number?

Ok Tried The Ruger 10/22 Rail Doesnt Work, None Of The Holes Are Even Close To Lining Up And I Just Dont Want To Use One Screw To Hold The Rail In Places, Any More Ideas Anyone

My grizzly. I did file the bottom of the hole on mount like 1/16" to make it fit.

Lots of aftermarket parts needs some work.

IIRC, it's perfectly legal to have a pistol grip only on it...........for now.
The courts are taking their time to come to a final conclusion regarding it's classification (i.e.: non-restricted vs. restricted).

I have to ask...

What courts? What case? Who? Where?

It must take you awhile to capitalize the first letter of each word.

mine fits

I got a b-square for an 870, and it fits. I just had to use a bit of muscle to drive the second screw in. Shot a few rounds and she is rock solid.

I tried getting a top rail and could also just use two screws, and with the recoil of the slugs, the screws came out rather quickly.

Not Really Its a Bad Habit I Picked Up When I Use To Be On Chemo, It Use To Make My Eye Sight Fuzzy And Capitalizing Every Word Just Made Things Easy To See And Read When I Was Doing Home Work And Stuff. Its Been Two Years From My Chemo Treatments But I Cant Seem To Stop Doing It

Thanks HunterHenderson, I'm Doing Great Now, I Found Out I Had Testcular Cancer On My 16 Birthday Then 5 Months Later Found Out It Spread To Both My Lungs. Had To Start My Chemo Treatments On Christmas Day, But Here I Am 3 Years Later Cancer Free. In College Now Hoping To Join The RCMP. Still Have Some Stuggles With Money Since I Wasnt Able To Work While I Had Cancer, And In Constant Pain Which I Was Told Will Last For The Rest Of My Life. But You Just Have To Live Everyday To The Best. I Really Hope Your Daughter Is Doing Great, Just Dont Give Up!!! My Thoughts Are With You
