Well here is one of my Christmas presents. 1951 Tula. Really love this rifle already, really fun.
I've done a bit of reading on them. I can't find any refurb marks on this rifle, and all the components as near as I can tell appear to be date proper. Really hope I didn't shoot a brand new SKS, can somebody help me prove its a refurb, just to calm my conscience?
It has the 45* gas block, floating firing pin with the L shaped retaining pin in the ejector, square cut out of the slot for the rear cap, no forced serials that I can see, I think its chrome lined but not sure, and I can't see any refurb marks but I hear they were inconsistant with marking them. What do you guys think? Should my shooter have been a collector?
