New to the forum and shortly, new to owning a firearm. Just got my PAL and will shortly be taking the course to get my Restricted permit. That said, not quite a newbie to shooting, having been in the Army since 85 (started in the Infantry; currently Armoured). I'm getting close to retirement and have been looking at taking up shooting as a hobby I can do with my wife (introduced her to it in December and she loves it).
I'm a bit of a gear-head, so anything that can be 'tweaked" (ie SKS looks fun) is generally the kind of stuff I'm interested in. Anyway, I expect I will be starting in the equipment exchange forum, but look forward to seeing what's out there in the other forums as I learn my way around.
