Hey everyone,
I'm new to the forum, my name is Jake Poirier. I've only shot/hunted with rifles and shotguns before really. Duck and geese a few times when I was younger, Trap and skeet off and on, sporting clays(lots of fun!), mainly deer hunting(15 years). For deer I use a 12 Gg. Remington 1100 auto-loader, synthetic thumbhole stock, Nikon scope, rifled barrel. I've gotten into semi-long distance shooting recently and I love it. Still slowly wrapping my head around MOA and such. I'm just using an older hand-me-down Remington 700 BDL .223 with a tasco 3x9, but I've added a few upgrades. Scorpion bipod, cadwell bipod lock, anti-cant level, and a DIY cheek rest. Fun to shoot! I bought a GSG 22lr pistol(still waiting for it...long frustrating story). I'm looking for my first AR style but I don't even know where to start yet(posted for advice in forum section). I currently don't have a membership anywhere yet. I'm in Cambridge, ON if anybody wants to get together and shoot, or just talk guns/hunting drop me a line!
