New to the forums and firearms in general

Hello there. You could say I'm brand new to firearms, however, I've always been interested in them. No family or friends have any experience with them, and I never grew up in a community where the topic was ever brought up.

Despite that, I applied for the military twice - once when I was 18 and another when I was 28 - and was rejected both times for a history of allergies. It's always been my dream to be on the front lines in combat, and will unfortunately never become a reality, but that's where my interest in firearms comes from.

I'm mostly interested in tactical-looking ones, and I realize that Canada has unusual prohibitions on such things, so I figured a forum like this would be a great source of information so I can still develop the necessary skills for combat if there are ways to overcome my issues in the future.

Glad to be here.

I would recommend taking the plunge and going to your local range for a meet and greet event. There are lots of disciplines that are so much fun. Start with plinking small caliber and work your way up. They can provide all sorts of learning and fun. I watched some Cowboy action this weekend that makes me wish i spent some money on a couple revolvers. Cheers
