Good morning akm762,
Congrats on passing your exams! It is the first big step to taking part in one of the best sports/hobbies there is. As you are aware of, we do not let individual, unlicensed shooters onto the range as a store policy. We however can accomadate you in a few other ways.
1. Become a member: If you are a FULL member of our range, we are more than happy to supervise you as a no-pal, individual shooter. Quite a large number of our membership have started out as just having taken the course and are itching to get onto the range. We facilitate this experience, and let our members to get a jump on their training while waiting for the paperwork to come in.
2. Bring a friend: This person does not even have to shoot, but you are required to have someone accompany you if you are a unlicensed, non-member. We have many clients who come in with a guest who will honestly read a magazine in our lobby or some who choose to partake as well. I bet if you asked on the forums here, you could easily find someone in the community willing to come in with you, or even supervise you for a morning of shooting (provided you bring coffee and ammo!)
We do offer private lessons and have a diverse array of courses to take if you want to develop your skills as a shooter. If you really do want to pursue the craft, I would strongly suggest signing up for the full membership. As long as you are in at least once a month, the thing pays for itself, any other additional visits are just the icing on the cake.
If you have further questions, I am more than happy to answer them via PM or Email.
Just passed my tests, both PAL and RPAL. Interested in coming to the range and get some help/training, rent a pistol or shotgun and shoot. Is this possible without a license?
I can come during the mornings when it's less busy (??) My problem is that I work shifts and cannot bring a friend with me because all my buddies work normal hours.
I know you guys have this rule with non single non licensed people.
