New to the hunt

Hi,

I am a new hunter. I live in Ottawa. Can someone recommend a place to go for a day hunt close enough to town. Anything within a few hours drive should be good.
Also, are there groups to join in the area for new hunters to learn how and where to hunt?

Go to Griffith or madawaska or head past deep river for a partridge hunt. Get a backroads Mapbook so you know where the crown land is and hike the logging roads or skidoo trails. Grey squirrel and rabbits are in season as well. My favourite hunt relaxing and no stress to cut a tag.
