I found out about this site from a few of the guys wearing T-shirts with the CanadianGunNutz sign on the back at the open house at the East Elgin Sportsmens Club this last sunday.
Great time there with some great guns to shoot off!
If any of you guys who attended and allowed the visitors to squeeze off a few rounds see this, I would like to personally thank you guys for the pleasure!

Thanks for the welcome!
I have been hunting my entire life, ever since I was pretty well old enough to walk I was with my family out hunting..lol
I have my PAL, but I am looking into aquiring my Restriced aswell.
I am gaining more interest in the older vintage rifles, aswell as handguns, but to be completely honest I just love every aspect of shooting, regardless of which platform.

I am glad you enjoyed the shoot...

Some of the "old geezers" had been talking about canceling the EESA Open House weekend as it was too much work by far too few members. I am glad to see it is having the desired effect. It will help convince the membership to keep the event going.

Welcome aboard. Shooting, EESA and CGN is the best combo in the world. I'm glad you put them together. Now get as many credit cards as you can and check the Equipment Exchange every 10mins so you don't miss a deal.

"...too much work by far too few members...." All clubs, no matter what they do, are like that. The worst are the ones who do nothing, but complain about everything.

Were they the workers or the peanut gallery?

I will agree its by far to few of the members, but hey so is everything else in any club anywhere.
At least we gitter done!!

I imagine it was all the ones who didn't help that complain. It is great just to introduce newbies to shooting and help blow away (no pun intended) some of the myths about all us rednecks.
