honestly, to me, you came across like you were trying very hard to gain immediate acceptance.

i could care less if you are some sort of spy. from what ive seen on this site, canadiangunnutz are a pretty straight up group of people. they dont tolerate ANY talk of activies that could hurt firearm owners' reputations, legal or not.

First the last thing I want is to see years of effort to rid this country of the registry go down the tubes.

When you do the math most of what I said in the letter to Lewenza was not far off from what the Frasier Institute has said the money used other ways from the dismantle of the registry would help public perception of gun owners and guns in general in Canadian society.

I do not want to revisit this again in the future. To do that we must find ways to keep ahead of the people who would have guns banned totally. Even if this passes do you think the fight is over? I learned a lot from the Handgun guys when the came to us looking for help in the early 90's........they warned us if we did not stick together the government would be after long guns and it did not take long did it.

We as gun owners are and will be for as far as I can see the minority in this fight. We need to look for way to have input into society in a positive manner so we build friends not enemies.

We can not stick our heads in the sand again and fool ourselves into thinking this will go away.

I am not on the CAW guest list either so I did not come here to be liked, I thought and hope it was to be among LIKE MINDED.

I agree lots of great info here to glean and to use as a tool when the other side comes empty handed.

thats good man the "burg" was always a good place for me lol. i was just talking to my cousin tonight and i recruited him to our side. maybe we can all go out for a coffee or beer sometime. do you have any guns you could show him, i dont have any but a measly .22, and he wants to play with the big boys lol.

As I said, I take no offence to being asked where my values are and who I support.

In many venues bad leadership is the issue. It happens on all sides of the debate. Our job in my view is to make the best argument without stepping on potential allies.
