I just started getting into guns and hunting, was wondering what types of guns to use for big game (elk, moose) vs. smaller game like deer.
 
It's tough to say without any information. .308 win or 270win would do it all or 30-06 a little more recoil. If you want less recoil 6.5 creedmoor would be your minimum size. Good for deer and would work for moose and elk. Bullet selection and distance are a big factor.
