new top for my workbench

I bolted my press to a piece of railway steel points stretcher through a ply topped bench and through another piece of stretcher below. Its about 1/4 inch thick steel and can be drilled and tapped. It means that the stress goes to the steel bfore the bench top. It doesnt stop me moving the bench on resizing those big cases though! It has stopped me breaking any more presses having shattered a Lee, broke the rear clean of a rock chucker I figure the BOSS should last!
I need to correct that. I drilled and tapped the top plate then fitted some M8 stud and welded the bottoms flush, this meant that I used a 15 or 20mm bolt through from the bottom plate to the top one. Everything is secured with locking nuts and spring washers. \My garage is full of a trailer, decoys and kids bikes. When it stops raining I can get on with making more targets!

I took our old computer desk and reinforced it underneath and on the backside with 2X4s.

The I installed a 1" thick plywood top by screwing from the underside.

After I bolted it to the wall, there is absolutely NO movement.

It also helps if you can get some 1/4" steel plate and make mounting bases that screw into the bench top for your press/trimmer to mount on.

I use allen bolts to attach my press and powder measure to the bench.

My wife has the digital camera, but I will take some pics when she gets back with it.

The tatty top side, when I use it once a month or so it gets cleaned thoroughly but with the crappy wet weather we are having I cant swing a cat in there so its back burner till I need some ammo!
