.17 hornet in cz527 sweetness....... picked up friday after work

hope to get to the range this week

decent wood, lots of packing grease, the factory target (50yds) has 3 holes touching... 2 tight 1 loose, american , came with rings... 1" high's

the new style mags feed nice.... older 22 hornet mags don't feed..... ok verrry heavy and bad angle

cz527 picatinny rail # 19010 adds 1/2 inch of height

rail and prw high rings put bottom of scope at just over 1 1/8 above reciever height

When the 17H first came out, I reamed two 17 HM2 Sportster's to 17H... Played with them for awhile then sold them at the range... Realized that I preferred the K-H's I already had half a dozen of... But they were accurate and fun... If I hadn't had the KH's, I would still be shooting them. The 527 is a nice platform, I have one in X39...
 
You can send your bolt handle to James Calhoon in Montana and he will send you back a modified handle that won't interfere with the scope and allow lower bases and rings. I sent mine, fast turn around, I think it was only $30 something very professional, they have a web site and are great folks to deal with. Cheers Roscoe

stock seems a little light to hold the gun steady on the bi-pod

I'm either going with the. 17 Hornet or the. 22 Hornet as my next rifle........leaning toward the. 22 Hornet. Nice looking set up you have.
