So, I was looking for something different in a .300 win mag and after see sawing between a Browning A-Bolt Stainless Stalker in .300win mag and a Tikka T3 Stainless Laminate, I came across this one. I didn't like the higher price vs. the standard Tikka T3 Lite SS considering it is basically the same stock with a fancy pattern, but considering I tend to abuse my hunting rifles (it does a lot of bouncing around in the truck - usually slamming into another rifle sitting beside it when chasing mulies through the hills) the camo pattern should cover the marks quite well. It is being shipped to my dealer, I should have it in about a week.
See page two for pics of the actual rifle.
I already have the optics(Zeiss Conquest MC 3.5-10X44 in silver w/Z-Plex reticle) - now I am looking forward to taking it out for a test drive.
I haven't seen many of these around (nobody else stupid enough to pay the extra $) and I think I just liked the "cool" factor with the camo stock. All my rifles but one have Walnut stocks, the other is a black synthetic.
So, was I crazy to spend the extra $$ to get the fancy pattern? I'm not convinced $200 more was worth it, but it sure looks pretty to me and you know what, that's all the really f**king matters. Right?
