I just purchased a CZ 452 Varmint from a board sponsor. I plan to set it up as near as possible to my .308 precision rig, and shoot scaled down targets to 100m as high-volume practice. I previously owned a 452 American which I had set up almost identically to my Model 70 hunting rifle, and found it to be an excellent approach.

If this one is of the same quality as the other I had, it will be awesome. I've got around 7K rounds of .22LR of various types to try out.

I actually haven't been this excited about a rifle in some time. ;)
 
Grats on the pickup, I also got a 452 Varmit recently from a board sponsor, well my wife did for me actually, that is for learning precision, the kinda thing you mentioned regarding your .308. How are you going to set it up?

Harris 6-9 bipod, 20MOA rail, Vortex Viper PST in 2.5-10X32FFP (my 308 has a 4-16X50FFP). I'll probably have to add a bigger recoil pad to get the LOP close. Might see if I can find a gunsmith to do a bigger bolt knob and rework the bolt angle a bit too.
