There a couple of places in the states that ship parts free to Canada.

Don't know if I should post the links, but check out RimfireCentral.com... they are sponsors of the site..

Yup. the only thing 10/22 in the whole gun is the bolt. The rest of the parts are all machined from billet aluminum, and it uses an AR-15 grip/trigger asembly.

Function is perfect, trying some accuracy testing today. I'll post range results when I get back.

P&D has LOTS !!! of volquartsen parts in stock, was in there yesterday and was flabbergasted that they have a HUGE selection of Volq. parts in stock.

the Exact Edge Extractor was $16..

Same reason some swap USGI parts into their norincos I guess....12 bucks US (Shipped) is cheap insurance against a failure.

I putt 200 through the gun at the range today......largest group was 1" inch at 50m (of course, that was a 25 shot group :D)

In all seriousness, the gun shoots very well...and would do better with a high power scope. But I'm sending out the barrel to my machinist tomorrow to have him turn it down to a more reasonable weight......accuracy will lijkely suffer, but I want a toy. Gonna turn it into a mall-ninja zombie gun ;)

Is this one of the recent (ie: 3rd generation?) R22's, or one of the originals that The Shooting Edge imported?

It seems that reliability was hit and miss in the first batch. Some love them (like this one?) or some flat out returned them, or sold them at a loss.

I REALLY want one of these, but will probably wait until ALL the bugs are worked out.

This one was a gen. 2, and one of the good ones. You need to "massage" the mags a little to prevent stovepipes when shooting certain types of ammo....but it is literally a 2 minute job with the dremel.

As far as waiting...the gen 3's are out, but you'll have to import it through questar....no one in Canada will bring-em in.

It's funny...the guys who had bad guns sold 'em at a loss....the guys who had the good ones are now selling them at a profit becuse of the lack of availability. I did'nt care...I just wanted the baddest .22 around! I got a thing for rimfires.....this makes a Buckmark Carbine, 597 LS HB .17HMR, R-22, G-22, and a few "specialty" singles.

Heres a couple more pics.

;) Glorified 10/22 I says.......:p

My second generation R22 has functioned perfectly with the right ammo, premium federal .22, it is too bad that Rhineland always seems to have something new on the go and seems to rush things out without working all the bugs out though.

My dealings with Thomas at Rhineland have always given me the impression that they are willing to work things out for their customers.

I would hardly call this rifle a glorified 10/22 though, my gunsmith was very impressed with the build quality of this .22 rifle. That being said some people here have had some issues with them.

The scope.

What scope do you have on there mate ?

lookin' good.

I am looking for a scope with magnification and laser on it, any suggestions ?
Yes it'll go on a modified 10/22....
