I wonder how different the speed of that is compared to a current well trained person with a decent concealment holster and a glock is. I'm fairly sure there wouldn't be much.

the stance is definitely a must try for a draw & strong hand only shoot (not the draw though)

Well.....not really.

They are practicing what is comomonly called close retention I believe.

The essence of a good draw and presentation - even for a close retention engagement- is economy of motion. Nothing moves that doesn't have to move

The whole dropping to the crouch thing is a serious time waster and really has no value shooting in IDPA or IPSC.

The idea of the crouch is to make yourself a smaller target like kneeling does. I would prefer to have hard cover
