Time for some new pads for our trap range. The old ones were 40+ years old. They were cracked, broken, crooked and generally worn out. Time to put the concrete guys to work. It won't be cheap but these pads should last another 50 years.
The old ones were pretty rough.
Ripped everything out, levelled and formed up, all to ATA/PITA specs. 36" wide with lines cut every 36" and 12" in front of the 16 yard line for the microphones. Brushed finish with a slight crown.
No screwing around here.
We will have to do some landscaping and clean everything up but all the complicated work is done. We can still shoot our 300 target shoot this Saturday. Should be cured enough for that.
Trap is still very much alive at at least one range in northern BC.
