I just installed new springs in my trigger group , I bought them from the U.S
h ttp://www.mcarbo.com .
They cost $37.50 U.S shipped and it was a little tricky getting the sear and trigger spring back in but the instructions supplied were good .
Big improvement in the trigger pull !!

It was nice getting an email from Mike from the company today making sure they arrived OK. :)

I am going to take it to the range soon to try it out the new springs , and I took off the Bushnell 3200 and put on my Redfield Revenge 4-12x40 scope

same trigger group unfortunately, no accu trigger
what kind of rings would the trr-sr take?

its got a picatinny rail, is that typically for weaver base rings?

I really like the stocks on the Savage TR line as I put a Boyds Tacticool on my 93FV 22WMR and saw the 64 TRR-SV and thought it was a really good deal. Considering you cant get the Tacticool from Boyds any more. :mad:

The 64 needed trigger work as it was no match for the Accutrigger system , the spring upgrade helped alot .I have only fired 100 rds or so and it ran great and was pretty accurate.I havn,t fired it yet with the new trigger springs.
I dont like the mag release on the 64 and only 10 rd mags are available .
The stock on the 64 is a little narrower near the palm and forend than the Tacticool but it is hard to tell them apart from a distance.
I believe Boyds makes these stocks for Savage IIRC.
There is a small cheek riser on the Tacticool as well.

I installed millet angle locs (med I think) on it with a Redfield Revenge 4-12x40

Camster ...yes its the same trigger group as on the standard 64 ,
The instructions from Mcarbo for the process are good and have pics. getting the trigger spring thats under the sear to line up again was a little tricky but not that bad.
The other spring in the kit is really really easy to install.
