I want to do a SPR type upper...


Bull Barrel in 223 or 6.8SPC


I need a Barrel??length??

upper??(Iam running a Armalite lower)

Bipod(Harris BR??)

BUIS??

FF handgaurd rail Rifle length or Mid length??

will mount my Leupold 4.5/14

I want it to be a good 800meter rifle so I would guess a 1/7 barrel is the way to go


so everyone help me price it out if you can...

We need a Canadian MSTN. Come to think of it, you could go to his dealer section on ARFcom (although he won't sell to CAD, permits are a bastard) There are good examples of SPR/Recce type builds with parts lists, which sounds like what you're after. Most of which can be sourced at Wolverine, Daves, and others. Good luck.

You could try this setup it has a Eagle Arms Lower
DD Free Float 12.0 FSP Rail
DD upper Flattop
P.R.I Flip up sight
16" H-bar with Carbine gastube
A2 butt stock
LMT Rear site
Magpul Miad Grip
Magpul trigger guard
KAC RAS Panels
Now instead of the LMT sight I have a Bushnell 3200 10x Mildot on now...... then I will get a mount for the harris bipod. Should shoot well when I figure out some good loads. I will put up some new and better pics soon.

I am thinking I may go with a mid length gas system

and a 18" barrel...(if I find a 20" HB I will cut it down)

and I would like my BUIS flip up with the front mounted on the rail

Good luck on the build Jamie. Just a question guys. Is a 16 or 18 HBAR long enough for repeatable accuracy at 800M?

Just asking cause I ordered a 24" HBAR and if the shorter ones are as good I may get it reduced somewhat. Mine is only 1:8 twist though.

a 16 0r 18 will get you out there no problem and a 1/8twist will get a 69gr going well


I want to go with a 18" just to keepit in the SPR game
