I've seen the latest shipment of these SKS mags and they do have a bright, flat silver rivet on the side of the mag. (As previously revealed here)
Not sure what it is, but it is an eyesore. Might have something to do with a new pinning method, not sure.
Another member stated their new Tapco mag also accepted stripper clips without modification.
This may also be a new feature on these mags from the factory, but I could not see the top of the mags to verify. Please advise if anyone gets a hold of one.
