New Vortex Razor

oh sweet, it's got "dirt & grime repellant", i've been holding out for S&B to get that, but now that vortex has it, screw S&B:p

to be honest now, i don't own, and can't afford a NF or S&B, so what's the price tag for one of these?

I own Vortex Viper binoculars (one step below the Razor line) and they are EXCELLENT for the money.

I would expect this scope would sell in the $1000 range, since the 'best' Viper scope runs about $500 USD. Not bad at all for good optics with stuff like zero stops.

I just received a reply from a Vortex Canada rep.

Hello C185,

Thank you very much for writing.

We do not yet have any specifics on the Razor riflescopes. I saw some production models earlier this year but nothing at all final. I believe some pieces will be introduced in 2010...but unfortunately cannot be sure. (And yes, they will be as good or better than anything else out there!).

That is all I know for now, but please do not hesitate to write to see if there are any further updates.

Best regards,

Paul

uhh, ok:rolleyes:

he hasn't seen a final production scope, and doesn't know if or when they will be released, but he's positive they are going to be better than all other scopes;)

Vortex right now to me is the best quality per dollar scope, I have 2 vipers. I also own several different euro's. But to say they compete with S & B, Docter, Khales, Kaps, Meopta, or Zeiss (other than the conquest) is like measuring a volkswagon against a porche!!

The Viper line - you are correct. Not in the same league.

The Razor line is much better and much closer to the others than you'd think.

I own two of the Higher end Vortex products and they are without a doubt the best bang for your buck stuff out there. They're going to start kicking some serious butt in next few years.

anyone have a link to the razor line's, neither canada or us site seem to list them, unless i'm missing something:confused:

whoops, i see them now, they just don't have any of the riflescopes on the site yet, just the bino razor line:redface:

MSRP. $2500.00US is too much...might as well go all out and get a proven, S&B. I was hoping that they would be in the $1500.00 range, oh well.
