VZ58 just arrived from one of the dealers here and it's a beauty, with one small exception, the rear cover over the receiver had a dent in it and was bent up on one side and so was a little sloppy fitting.
But Jeff from North Sylva set me up with a new part so all is good.

I've had the 858 for a month or so and had it out shooting. Super accurate and no issues at all. Can't wait to get the vz58 out in the bush. Really like the furniture that came with it, except the stock, found a Magpul CTR that should be here shortly.

With some more black hardware, can't have enough of that right

Nice collection, indeed!

You can definitely see that the CSA vz58 has better machining on the exterior compared to the CZ 858. I'm sure they're both great rifles, though.

A CSA vz58 with (real) wood furniture is on my "want" list.

I think what he meant to say is, CSA recievers are newly manufactured for the civilian market, where the CZ made ones are from actual cold war stocks adapted for the civilian market.

Just wondering where you happen to pick up the CSA non restricted in 762x39????

DO you kow if the bore is chrome lined???

Thanks

I contacted CSA via email before and they stated that they will have chrome lined barrels in 18.5 inches in September of this year..but they were not sure if the distributor in Canada will order any because it will cost more.
But I saw a post somewhere showing that alot of people will pay more for chrone lined barrel...so lets hope we get some chrone lined ones.

I got mine at SFRC

Bore is not chrome lined, but a couple passes with Hoppe's No 9 and corrosive residue is taken care of.

Nothing really wrong with the stock that comes with it
I just like the Magpul CTR better

You have to get the Commercial size, Mil Spec is too small
