Was looking at a new Weaver V10 2.5-10 x 38 made in Japan. Anybody have any comments on the current Weavers? What do they compare to? A Vx1?

Thanks
JB

Many of the target Weavers have done very well BUT many are using 80's and 90's tech.

Decent products for the price but there are other alternatives these days. Weaver seems to be testing the waters on a new line of products.

I am hoping to see some if/when they becomes 'real' - maybe by summer????

There is hope that this historic brand can be restarted.

I believe the Weavers are now being made by LOW (Light Optical Works) in Japan, the same company that makes Bushnell Elite, Nightforce, and a number of others.

Here is a link that gives some indication of relative quality.

C hawks, not what I would call a real reputable source for for information on anything in the gun business.
Odd that Nightforce doesn't make his list? FS
