Hi there,

I have just started shooting again after nearly a 30 year absence. I know!! Freakin' disturbing really.

I've done the course thing and currently a member of Silvercore. (Awesome idea to allow me to examine other clubs) I'm going to join the PCDHFC now after a couple of day passes. I have a Keltec PMR-30 which is a great little shooter. (I need work) I also have a beauty of a Savage 93R17BSEV which I have not fired yet, (.17 HMR) I figured I would start small and work from there. I just need the Sweet .17 scope and a case to get the Savage going.

Mind you, a guy at the range let me shoot his Norinco .308 and a CZ 7.62-39 and I am slightly torn. What next? I'll get over it. Slowly, slowly. I'm thinking of a SUB 2000 as I mentioned in another thread but it will all take a bit of time. I so have this evil thing on one shoulder saying "You need a .30 cal., really you do..."

It's great to find a group of people with whom I can express my unhinged desire to shoot holes in paper!

Thanks!

Hey KeltecFan,
It looked like you shot all the time & if you want to try other 1's and see me up there again just ask. As for just starting out thoose are great firearms that you have. I would say go for the sub 2000 in 9mm cuz the ammo is cheap and you don't always have to shoot it at the range. Although an SkS in 7.62 would also be realy cheap on ammo and is non-restricted too. Welcome to CGN & remeber, the only stupid question is the 1 that is not ask.

Hello Satain,

Thanks again for wetting my appetite for the bigger stuff. That was cool when you hit the gong three times in a row with iron sites. Wow! As far as the SKS goes, I have already been reading up on the forum on how to remove the cosmoline. :) It's going to be a few weeks before I get out the the club and join. Hopefully I'll bump into you again there. I sure had fun.

Thank you everyone for the welcome!

This place is great.
