New Winchester case coloring?

Has anyone handled a new Winchester Case Hardened Sporter? I found a few pictures online and it looks like it has that cheap dye case color, not the real stuff.

Bone charcoal would be fabulous, cyanide method would be alright, something other would be dissappointing.

I agree about the fake case coloring. The real bone and charcoal case coloring will vary with the metal thickness, edges and screw holes. The fake method colors the receiver like the screw holes and edges where not there. Apart from the fake case coloring, the rifle is a beauty. If I were to buy it, I would buy it for what it is ..... a beautiful modern repro Model 92 with a colored receiver. I would then shoot it and enjoy it.

It's almost a bit of a turn off compared to the real stuff. I was really excited about buying one until I found actual photos. They seem to feature TAPERED octagonal barrels however!
