Anybody check these out yet? The tang looks longer than the standard one and the stock looks like it's a slightly different contour. Too bad about the rebounding hammer though.
 
Looks like a real nice hunting rifle for lovers of the lever action. The combination of a shotgun style butt with a pistol grip really makes operating a lever like driving a smooth Cadillac. The 348 cal with it's 200gr to 250gr factory loads are very good for deer, moose, and black bear in the bush of shots under about 75 yards, and those open sights should be fine for the job of an average hunter. That receiver is a strong, thick, metal design and it sounds so sweet when it's worked. It can handle a lot of abuse from hard hunting trips. I'm not sure about the rebounding hammer, but it's probably an extra safety feature that should be o.k.

Dang, I think I just talked myself into buying one of these! Any info of dealers who'll have it in stock?
