Hey all. I will be heading up to Loon Lake for my new years party. We rented a few cabins, etc. etc.

Now I usually go hunting for deer there and had a great hunt there in October, however, do you think it's possible to get a wolf or coyote there in December around Hihume lake area on FSR 3400 (that's the forest road number)? That's as far as I'll go on the snow covered gravel road.

I still have to party and ring in the new year but I figured I'll have at least one day of hunting. Any tips or ideas? What are my chances of seeing anything? Should I get a cat tag just in case? (as wolf and coyote are covered by my regular hunting license)

Thanks,

Alex

Coyotes and wolves are spread all over BC.

Try claling. Stumbling around just 'looking' for one doens' twork very well...;)

Well I won't be stumbing till the wee hours but I guess I look into a call.

Hey since those are predators could I hook it up to the soundsystem in my truck?

Cheers.

Yes, it would be legal to run a tape in your truck.

Might even work.;)

throw that on the box and off I got... or maybe go wheeling in a civic

Alex, give the animals a break man, it's the festive season for crying out loud, leave the rifle at home and just go out and party with your friends and enjoy, loon Lake is such a beautiful place, sit back on the cabin deck with a beer and listen to the howling at night, and think, MAN, if only i had my rifle:p
