Wow, who woulda thunk that NZ (Otago, specifically) had so many rabbits - seriously the best rabbit hunting of my life. A Stirling .22 and a crap-tastic Chinese scope gets you about 8 rabbits in a quick afternoon jaunt. Great fun!

He talks about rabbit hunting every week but the poor fellow has yet to get one. Maybe he needs to go to NZ!
 
NZ is definitely the place to be for rabbit hunting! Went for another walk yesterday and got 7 along with some decent footage of the day out. I'd upload it to youtube and share the link but in NZ you have to pay for data by the gigabyte and uploading that video would probably cost me $25!!! So that'll have to wait until I get to some free wifi... somewhere.

It's a big job and the rabbits, possums and other little fockers are up for the challenge! Each year in Central Otago during Easter weekend there is an organized rabbit hunt that usually results in 15,000 dead rabbits, which apparently makes no difference! I'm moving to the North Island this week so we'll see how things are there...
