Been back in NZ a few times in the last few years, figger its time to post up a few photos.
couple goats shot for dog tucker. and test out the modified 7-08
Red hind, taken in the Ruahine ranges, 1st deer with the chopped Finnlight, I sighted it in at 50m, and shot this hind, on a slip at 250 odd, Was a bit unsure, weather to take the shot, as forgot the suppressor and wasn't sure of drop at 200 plus, worked out ok, but miserable steep slip, pretty much threw the deer down and had to unhook it a few times till got to a bit of flat ground.
looking down the creek, I shot from the logs,
fine eating, being left in a Manuka tree, for later pick up,
Ruahine tops, ground my way up here and spent the day looking for a deer and exploring,
picked up this red deer spiker, on the last day, half an hour above the hut, spooked it from about 10 feet away, missed with first shot, not sure how, waited for it to cross the creek, the slight rise, gave me a off hand shot, down threw the top of the shoulder. lost 1/3 of a back steak, much better option than a north south shot I had prior to it dipping down in to the creek,
base camp bargain at $4 a night, std NZ hut six bunk, table, stainless cooking bench, and pot belly fire place.
