New Zeiss V3 Line - Accessible Zeiss!

The lack of 3-9x50 makes no sense to me
3..5 -10 x42 is no Bueno?. If their glass is near what it was in the previous V3s it'll still be better than 90% of the 50s out there by other manufacturers. Whatever Zeiss does they'd have to drop a long ways in quality to hit Vortex levels and several other popular brands..

What about Steiner? Are they still Germany?
Only their high end military stuff was made in Germany. Most is " assembled" in the U.S. and I think they share a plant with Burris. U.S. "assembly" means little though. Its more about where they source their internals and most go offshore to do it. If a guys lucky you get higher end Japanese glass and it IS good. Most of the bigger $$ US scope lines are Japanese glass. Many cotract their entire process to asian companies.

I bought a Steiner once. Had it for 2 days. Low light performance was horrible.

Swaro still the best glass for the buck imo. All but their Z3 and Z5 are still 100% made in Austria and they own Kahles as well. For a testimonial look through a pair of NL Pure binos sometime. Nothings close.
