Now that I got your attention :D

New guy here, I've been reading the forums for the past day left and right, there is a ton of information in here, love it.

I passed all my exams in december(RPAL), papers are in being processed, cant wait to get them back.

I've shot a few times before with friends at ranges and remote fields. I decided last autumn to step up to the plate.

Now for the questions...

In the Ottawa/Gatineau area, other then the RA center, what club allows restricted firearms? Or what club do you suggest? Indoor or Outdoor is not an issue. I'm looking for a place that's newbie friendly since I know my wife will be nervous the first few times we'll go.

I'm getting my papers almost exclusively for shooting pistols and revolvers. From a P22 for the wife(she passed her exames same time as I did just for this gun) to a 1911 for me with a few toys in between. Maybe even a nice .308 for longer range and hunting is in my future also but this is secondary to me.

That's about it for now

Welcome to the club. I'm not from Ottawa, but there are quite a few members on this forum from the area. Try changing the title of your post to include Ottawa and you'll get more hits :)
Have fun.

GOOGLE:
RAGC - The RA Gun club (15 min Southeast)
EOHC - Eastern Ontario Handgun (45 min east)
GF&FC - Grenville Fish and Game Cub (45 min south)
Smith Falls Fish and Game (30 min south west))
Danforth (North ~40 min??))
Stittsville Range (30 min westish)
Connaught Ranges (20 min west north west)

All support restricted centrefire rifle and pistol... (Calibre restrictions may apply)

For Shotgun
North Ottawa Rod & Gun Club
NCRRA Ottawa Skeet
Capital trap and skeet

I don't know where you got your info Duc (maybe you live in the West end?), but from downtown Ottawa, EOHC is much closer than Smiths Falls Fish & Game, 45km as opposed to 82km.

Takes me half an hour to get to the EOHC, bit under an hour to get to SFFGC.
