Hey guys,

New on the forum so please excuse my noob questions.

I am looking to get an AR-15/M4 style rifle (will be my first), price is not really an issue ($2K and below). Time is also not an issue and would be willing to try and import (if it's not a ridiculous hassel)

I am looking for something bigger than a .22.

Would anyone be able to suggest some manufacturers/models/calibres? (I heard Colt, Bushmaster make decent weapons)

I hear .223 is an expensive round to shoot, but if it's more fun, it isn't a big deal seeing as I won't be hitting the range more than a couple times a month.

Thanks a lot guys.

Try Arms East, they deal in Stag Arms rifles and carbines. Excellent quality weapons and fantastic service. My advice, go for a piston version of AR-15, I have both the original gas impingement and the piston versions, the former a DPMS and the latter a Stag Arms. Reliability and clean action is far better for the piston version and it's also more forgiving with poor quality surplus ammo.

I would check out Questar as they carry LMT and other high quality AR's (if price is not a problem).

If you're not really picky....great reviews on the Norinco CQB. A great rifle for a great price!

Hope this helps :D

I have a stag arms that i have bought from Armseast. Pretty good guns and excellent service.

IMO don't buy a .22 cal conversion kit, it totally sucks.
