I will be starting to reload soon with a Lee pro 1000 in 9mm and I had a couple of questions, I think I will be using some frontier bullets either 124 gr or 147 gr cmj since they seam to be a great price and using cci primers. Are these good enough to be used in competition?
What kind of powder would you recommend to use?
What kind of o.a.l. do you recommend for an m&p9?
Would anybody have some data they use?
Again I will be shooting an m&p9 full size.

Would there be any tips and tricks from the pro's for me :)

All replies will be appreciated

The 9mm can be made to work with a wide variety of components. Your choice of bullets is just a matter of personal preference. I like the 147's for the softer percieved recoil and longer engraving surface, but that's just me.

As for OAL, that depends greatly on the bullet style and magazine inside length. In theory, you can load a 9mm to 1.170, but most guns will puke on ammo loaded that long. If you use the truncated cone style Frontiers, start at 1.125-1.130

You don't mention powders. I prefer VV N320, and out of my gun, I loaded the 147gr Frontiers to 1.130 with 3.5gr of VV N320 over federal primers.
