newbie cleaning question

Hi guys, just wondering if I remove chokes when cleaning and clean both seperately or if I leave it in? Or eithere way? Thanks

Leave an open choke (modified or skeet) tube in when cleaning the barrel. Clean your choke tubes and tube threads (in the barrel) separately.

IMHO, leave any choke tube (no matter what the constriction) in the barrel while cleaning. Clean the choke tube separately. Be sure to lube the choke tube threads with a lube (I prefer a good gun grease) before re-installing.

I leave the choke in when pullint the barrel through. Depending on the conditions I had the gun exposed to , and the amount of ammo fired I will somtimes just leave the choke in . The one thing you should watch out for when dealing with the chokes is that you do not use too much oil or grease when cleaning the threads...or you will have to continually re-tighten the choke while shooting....
