I am expecting my PAL and RPAL any day (waiting almost 6 weeks now). I took my course at Phoenix Range & Gun Shop in Edmonton.
I had a few firearms about 10 years ago, but sold out due to financial pressures. I am now getting back into it.
10 years ago (or a little more), I can still remember the look on the officers face at my local RCMP detachment when I walked in to get my FAC and handgun permit. I was 19 at the time, and he asked me all sorts of questions about why I would need a gun blah blah blah. I think I said something like "shootin stuff". LOL. He pretty much freaked on me.
It's good to get back into this.
