Newbie from PG/Peace Country needs guns

Hey Folks,

I'm an avid hunter and outdoorsman looking to purchase a couple new firearms. I'm seeking a remington 700 7mm DM by hunting season (26 days left) preferably used but if i can't find one i will have to get a new one. Also i work in the field, alone, in dense bush, in bear country so i need a tactical shortgun immediately! I am thinking mossberg 500 because it's small enough to carry in the field for 12 hours per day. I drove all the way to Wholesale sports in Grande Prairie to buy one but they closed 10 minutes early, real nice.

I have a ruger 10-22 with a scope and i love it, clean way to take grouse for dinner up to 100 meters away. My sidearm for most of my life has been a marlin 30-30 lever action but this pip-squeak lone ranger rifle has filled my freezer yea after year.

Anyone want to sell me their Rem 700 DM, Rem 870 Tactical, or Mossberg 500?

I have a model 1871 H&R Buffalo Classic and want to shoot in BP metallic compititions but the sights that come with the rifle are only good for 100yds. Is there anyone that can tell me what kind of sight that will fit it and where I might find it. I have checked out Marbles tangs but they seem too short.
