Hey guys, just checking in. Great site!:cheers:

Former firearm owner from the old days now looking to get back in the sport. I have recently relocated from the smelly bowels of Millergrad:50cal: to the Kawartha Lakes area of S.Ontario.

Looks like the closest range to me is Haliburton County Marksmen. I know nothing about this range and would welcome any info about this range or any others in the area. I am interested in a range where I can shoot pistol and AR. PM or email me.

I wish I had kept the firearms I owned in the 70's, but I did not, so I will be in the market for an AR and a semi auto pistol. I look forward to dealing with sellers and vendors on this site. I already can see there is a wealth of information here for navigating through the ridiculous laws and regs in Ontario.

I hear ya. I have the cash burning a hole in my pocket right now. I was thinking of buying a stripped lower and building a carbine as a winter project.

But after looking at some of the vendor sites (Questar) I may just go for something complete such as RRA.

I am still confused about what the procedure is to purchase this firearm. Do I join the club first or purchase the firearm first or is there something I am not understanding here. I thought the R/PAL was all I needed. In the old days we did not have to jump through all these hoops.
