Hi All

I'm new to this site. Lots of good info here thanks.
I am looking at getting more into the hobby. Also looking to get a 9mm for hobby usage. I am a member at the RA Centre however haven't been in a while. Any other good things for beginners in Ottawa?

Other good things such as beginner nights at any ranges etc.
I have dont the RA Centre on Mondays, but perhaps some outdoor activity might be good while the weather is nice too.
 
I used to shoot at RA and...I didn’t like it.

If you are looking for an other range there is Connaught whit the DCRA who have a MUCH bigger range and more range time compared to the RA.

If you want even more range time you might go to EOHC, nice place range time is like pretty much when ever you feel like shooting ;) and Connaught and EOHC are the two of them together about the same price as the RA.

for a 9 mm good luck whit the ammo right now, and try as many as you see. Guys are always willing to let a female shooter try there gun so ask and you will eventualy find one that you like!

I'm at Connaught (NCRRA) on Saturday from 9am until around 1pm. Come check it out. Pistol range P2 or P3. Find Tony or me (Greg)
 
If you live South of the city, Grenville may be an option for you (I live around Kemptville), Grenville is in Prescott, gimme a hollar and I'll shoot with you (like I need an excuse for a Range evening!)

If you have a car, EOHC is a good place to shoot in summer.
Primitive washroom facilities, compared to the RA or Stittsville etc.
It's outdoors. Great folks however.
You can also look up the Cowboy Action Shooting (CAS) Posse there.
You won't be the only female in the Posse.

Welome aboard. Try PPC or IPSC shooting. Of course you wouldhave to get your black badge, but its a lot of fun.
 
Welcome. Yes, I agree about getting your black badge and trying IPSC, starting with production to see if you like it. The shooting sports is a wide and varied field of many disciplines and the adventure will last your lifetime easily. :)
